I'm typing, uploading and editing all on my phone so please forgive typos etc. Finished 2 days of 500 grit in the UV10, after 4 total days in 2 rounds of 120/220. Meticulously cleaned all the rocks and media, used a new strainer that will be dedicated to the polish stage, put everything in a new barrel, also dedicated to polish, added AO1000 and let it go. Here are some pics. I was hoping the heart I intended to make for Nancy for Valentine's Day would be ready in time, but was disappointed to find that singe lighter material in the jasper had undercut. I took it out early in the 120/220 stage because it was wearing fast and a little unevenly. It won't be perfect, but it should still be pretty. If Nancy likes it I will attach a bail, if not maybe one of the kids will like it.

You've come a long way in a very short time John which proves that if instructions are followed to a T ,,,it can be done! Well done!

It ended up ruined! This was way back in Febraury and I think that was one of my first cabs. In polish it developed little holes. I am not even sure where it ended up.

Uv10 is Thumler's Ultra Vibe 10# vibratory tumbler, just their model number.
Vibratory tumblers are aggressive and can take rocks that have been rounded or otherwise shaped and get them to a high polish in 7-10 days.
