Today, I slow cooked a piece of brisket in the smoker, made scalloped potatoes, all of which I cut out hearts with a cookie cutter, bought some big cookies for desert, plus roses, and lit the candles. The whole table The scalloped potatoes a la Woody Dessert

Wow Woody, I didn't know that you were into cooking. Aside from rocks cooking is my other passion. In fact my wife only prepared one dinner for me. It was when we were dating. She was so cute she came over to my place with her own pot and cooking utensils and the raw ingredients for a salmon dinner for two. I didn't have the heart to open the kitchen cabinet to show her my collection of commercial grade gourmet cookware. LOL Well after that dinner I knew I would have to mary her..... she would starve to death if she had to eat her own cooking on a daily basis. LOL Woody we must share some recipes.

I went the easy route. My wife got a day at the spa. I think she would like that better than burnt potatoes and crispy brisket, which is what she would have gotten if I cooked.

That's really beautiful. However, lazy me just stuck with some New Orleans barbecued shrimp and a heart shaped cake!!! It had to be a single layer cake, I can't find the second heart-shaped pan. Oopsy!
