After having a nice breakfast at Peggy Sue's we headed out to Field Siding. The stop wasn't planned. We just figured another 15 minutes further east wouldn't hurt. We were glad we made the stop. It was a bit windy. We stopped about a half a mile off of the highway and started picking. I would walk into the wind away from the car, turn my back to the wind so I could see the rocks. Repeated this a few times until the bucket was full. Then off to Yermo. Attachments:

We made it a ways northwest past the dump into the wash. I didn't want to test my car any more. About this time we were done. We just wanted to get out of the wind. So what did we do? We stopped at Calico (in the wind) for a couple of hours. The window in the rock shop was impressive. We fought the wind, rain and sun all the way home to Westminster. Why people was to break the land speed record in that kind of weather is beyond me. Attachments:

We can't drive by without stopping at Peggy Sue's for breakfast. The northern Field Siding location has lots of material. It's a good dirt road where your low rider can make it. Once you get on top of the ridge heading west, most of the material is on the south side of the hills.

Looks like a great haul, Bill. Looking forward to seeing your tumbles. You guys made quite a trip out of a couple of days. That's awesome! Paul
