Do a little brain salad surgery: cut it open!
It looks a little like chert, but there are areas that show promise...

yes, don't cut it as you will never find one like it that is just too realistic from natures artwork!

That is a piece of Arizona Rockhead. If you look carefully you will see that it is a female. Looks just like my ex-motherinlaw Stu

Wow... that IS creepy.... but those look like tool marks all over, no? Maybe someone started to carve a human skull but never finished?
Maybe it's just the picture, but some of the lines look like chiselmarks to me, they're just too straight and regular in width?

Wow that is pretty bizarre! I would keep it as it is. It would make an awesome display center piece. steve

Hold on to that for a while, later today I will digg out a website that you should see. Even if it is nothing more than a freak of nature, there is a possibillity to make quite a few dollar.
You think the ideology and customs around makumba or voodoo are strange, then you have not seen what the Asians are up to. While the origins of a lot of the items on show at the website are questionable, look at the price and then you will know why I suggest you to contact them. LOL

Here ya go: www.bezoarmustikapearls.com/Have fun exploring the Mythological/Unusual Mustika Pearls/Stones/Artifacts/Relics/Fossils section at the bottom of the page. Just make sure you are not eating at the time of viewing and don't forget to close your mouth when you see some of the prices.
