Great idea and very good looking. How do you gear it in reverse, don't you have any safety button to lift?

Well, these are on my 1970 Chevelle, and so there are no safeties for reverse (it is simply all the way left and up for reverse). They wouldn't work with any manual trans that has a safety button (at least not without some serious work).
