I've been fighting off a cold so stayed inside to update photos on my website instead of working in the shop the last couple of days. It finally forced me to put together a page focused on petrified wood tables, but probably even more interesting to this forum are the several dozen new petrified wood rounds I added to the rounds page. www.sticks-in-stones.com/PetWood/rounds/I also spent part of the time trying to learn how to use some google analytics that I've now instrumented the site with, so if any of you feel like perusing some nice pics, I'd welcome the chance to see how those tools work after a few visitors have toured the images. Just to tempt you with a hint of what you'll see, here's a shot of a crystal cavity in one of the new petrified wood tables that's pretty cool: ![](http://www.sticks-in-stones.com/PetWood/rounds/chin288c.jpg) And here's a neat insect chewed petrified wood round from Wyoming also on this page: ![](http://www.sticks-in-stones.com/PetWood/rounds/ch11.jpg)

Almost had me there for a second! ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) At first glance my sleepy eyes thought those where some cool green crystals in that first one! Then I realized it was a hole & I was looking at grass! ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Very nice rounds, headed for your website again!

Those are some of the nicest rounds I've seen in quite a while. I am interested in this one: Rhexoxylon slab from Zimbabwe, Africa. Have to think on it, but boy it would look lovely hanging on my wall.

Those are some of the nicest rounds I've seen in quite a while. I am interested in this one: Rhexoxylon slab from Zimbabwe, Africa. Have to think on it, but boy it would look lovely hanging on my wall. Here's a particularly unusual Rhex that I finished (and promptly sold) this week. It's the only one I've seen (out of at least a couple of dozen different logs) that had this sort of honeycomb structure in the center. It appears to be a spongy sort of pith where most of these logs are hollow (and I always thought they were until I saw this). Very interesting, and most unusual... ![](http://www.sticks-in-stones.com/ebay/store/rex31.jpg)
