Hi geo-enthusiasts!
Back last Fall, Rock Tumbling member free4ms (forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile&user=free4rms) posted an ad offering electroforming services.

As you can see, his work is stunning!

This is just the advance photo of 5 from a group of 19 pendants that he's electroformed for us. They're on their way to us, and we'll post more photos when they arrive.
The ordering process was easy, service FAST and invoicing a snap, through PayPal.

In reply to unclestu, electroforming is a process of plating metal on a non-metallic surface, including stone, organics like wood, seed pods, even plastic. There are three layers of metal formed on the objects, copper, nickel and 18kt gold. The final layer is a heavy deposit of gold, which contains cobalt for abrasive resistance. I havent cut/cabbed in over a year but seeing those makes me want to get back to it again
