rockjunquie the groove is cut with a grinder like this using a bit like this Thanks everyone.

Thanks, I guess it's like cutting a dado groove with a table router.

Those are very elegant and beautiful. I have a bunch set aside to groove but keep putting it off. I do it with a drill press and flat round burrs. Same end result but probably more difficult. Jim
