Here's a nice rock that I got from bikerrandy. Pretty sweet, huh?? Thanks, Randy. This has a real interesting cut that I haven't used before. I like different cuts, they are fun to work with. This is the first time I have had this kind of stone in hand. I love the subtle blends of the reds, oranges and yellows. I didn't know that the black has a metallic look to it, either. Attachments:

Thanks! Yeah the copper is perfect. I almost always use liver of sulfur. I just finished the most awesome piece of ocean jasper. The color of the raw copper is sooooo perfect for the stone that I don't want to patina it. Wish I had used non tarnish copper.

Love the way you did that little extra wire decoration on the side. That's a great looking cab:).

Thanks, everyone. That side wire is 14g. I wanted a big bead

Wow, 14g wire, you are brave...lol. I have trouble working with anything more than 20g. The wrap looks great and I agree, your choice of wire is perfect.

Just the outside wire 14g the rest is 20g. I could never do a full wrap with 14- no way!

Randy: thats sub-herb layout and workmanship.
rockjunquie: Lovely setting you made. It compliments the stone and lets it shine.
Overall; just fantastic!!!!

I think I can safely say you have raised the bar as far as the wrapping goes here. This piece as with all the others you have posted are amazing! I love seeing different styles to inspire me.
