Thank you guys!!! Rockjunkque if you still have all your stuff... why not start up the glass again:)? It's very complementary to your jewelry!!!
I do huge spurts. I'll go through periods where I do NO glass. Once my vendors are stocked up, they don't need more stuff for a few months, and I can stop working glass for a while. It's not something I have to put in x hours a day or x hours a week at. Of course, it's the kind of thing that you have to really feel to want to do, not a 'just do it' type of art.
But I can't imagine just quitting and not doing it at all anymore. I do agree it takes up a lot of space though, but maybe you can set up to do it on a more limited basis:).

yeah, carving and any art is really that way! you have to have the vision and drive for it or it does not go well

Thanks for the encouragement. I loved doing it and I definitely had the drive. I have a health issue that precludes my doing it or I'd be doing it. I'm hoping maybe at some point I can do it again. Wire wrapping fills the void for me right now.

Thanks everyone:)! Alisha, I have real trouble making faces in glass... and while I do know people who do amazing cartoony type of glass work, it's not my specialty:). My style is sort of a hyper realism. Everything I make is recognizeable... but just a little bit different:). This is the closest I get to a 'face'... LOL! (not very sexy huh? LOL!)

Don't worry, a lot of us have the problem of faces and heads. LOL

Helen, your work is so beautiful! In the mermaids, I love what you did both inside the glass and out! The sunflower is incredible too! Every time I see one of your pieces, I'm floored! Thanks for posting them!
