You know, that GoPro sounds like a great camera company to work with. Looks like you have a beautiful family and had a blast over the weekend. The cabs are beautiful but I must admit to liking that last round one the best! Looks like a snowy blue world.

I love that one too! It's a doublet since the material is to soft and porous. Probably going to make some more.
Well, I won't be able to get any until summer, but when I get a stock going, I'm going to be sending a bunch of SFRB's for free.

Geoff, you certainly are a man of many talents and interests. Your photos are magazine quality! Thanks for taking us with you.

Great photos, Geoff! I've seen the aurora in Fairbanks, and you've captured it well. Love the kite photos, too. I've wanted to do that, but couldn't figure out how to trigger the camera. The GoPro makes sense, though. It might also be fun to shoot a video of the kite rising...

Wow, those pictures are great. Thanks for posting them. We were supposed to be able to see the aurora last week but too cloudy and too many lights near me to see anything. Maybe I need to go to Alaska.

Everyone needs to go to Alaska.
I'm working on a better stable rig for the kite. If the camera is right at the kite, it affects the flight in a negative way. I put it 5-10 feet down the line from the kite, but even there the wind makes the camera swing around a bit too much if it's just attached to the line. I've made a self leveling rig, but it still swings in the wind. Got some ideas that involve airplane parts.
