This is some pretty orange-to-yellow jasper from Utah I bought about 2 months ago as a chunk. With the new saw I was finally able to slab it. I definitely need to build a slab-grabber to get a couple more slabs out of the end piece.

They look like slices roast beef my wife last tried to make. Now she understands why I do all the cooking. LOL

Till ya can get a slab grabber, what ive done is used a 2x4, and glued the face cut on with water glass (sodium silicate). Theres others who use gorilla glue etc... That way ya saw right too the wood, throw it inna bucket of water, and the slab will fall off. Polish both sides an ya got a nice specimum. Water glass needs to set up fer bout 24 hours. I gotta bunch right now I need to cut. Later Clyde
