Finally got my pictures done. Rafferty is south west of Estevan Saskatchewan. It was great to be collecting in March. These are the pictures what me and Scott found. First a 10 pound piece of chowder stone. Some green rock and a few Glacier Dolomite at the lower right. And some Pocelainite. This is new material for me to try and work. And some sandstone concretions eroding out of the clay.

Cool stuff! That Pocelainite looks really nice. Concreations are almost always weird but that one in the center of the pic looks like someone's butt poking out of the clay.

Wow love that pic of the sandstone concretions. Clam chowder stone looks just like what we Texans call Devil's Toenails. Guess the diference is your fossils may be clams while ours are Devil's Toenails, a type of primitive oyster....Mel

I was the first person hired to work on the Rafferty Dam.Cleared land with a hand machette for the surveyors, Didn't realize what it was really all about, just happy to have a job at 16 years old for 75 cents an hour.
