Hi all. My other hobby is, or was before I got into rocks, growing and tending to some Bonsai trees. This year is the first time in about 10 years I repotted and trimmed some of them. The Wisteria is 42 years old and this is only the second time it has flowered. I had to prune this 17 year old Japanese Maple pretty hard to get it to this shape, I'll do more next year. This 40 year old Juniper finally got a root prune and it needs to grow a little before I prune the branches. A 35 year old Cedar, it will be pruned next year Umbrella plant, 8 years old, work in progress!

Nice Wisteria !! It grows wild here in Georgia. If you don't keep it cut back, it will get into trees and kill them, even the pine trees !!

Ed........I too was growing Bonsai before I started working rock. They did wonderful when I was living in Houston. The humidity was great! Had to give them up when we moved though. Not much will grow here so I am working on a Bougie.........I just trimmed it in Jan. I want it to grow some more branches lower, near the trunk, so I will let it go and maybe take a couple of inches off the height next year. Here is my one and only!

Like all of them, The Wisteria is well cool, my favourite tho has to be the Juniper. The boss likes the Maple. Amazing the ages of them, forget that they are just smaller versions of the same trees.

Ed, they are lovely. I bought a bonsai once or twice, brought them home, gave them lots of loving attention, and watched them die. Yours are a work of art.

Those are really nice. We have wisteria growing wild all over the trees down our road. It makes me want to take my time driving when they're in full bloom :-)

You have so much talent! The bonsai's are beautiful! That wisteria takes me back back to my childhood, only ours was full size and grew over a trellis covered area. My sister and I would take our toys out and play for hours under them, when they were in bloom. I just loved that smell! Fran
