Well crap. After seeing those 19 slabs I figure I will need to wait 19 months before I enter the killer cab contest again. Lucky dog or is that grunt. I am sure there was no skill involved. Pure luck. lol But it couldn't have happened to a nicer grunt.
BTW I do not want to be putting any pressure on here but I have not seen any carving yet. Start with something simpler than a face so you do not get discouraged. Faces are really difficult so I do not do them. Jim

At first the mookite stands out, but as you scroll down things get really difficult to choose a favorite from. Great stuff, now let's see what you are going to do with it. BTW: have notgotten to enjoy any of your fantastic carvings either lately Jim.

KK - I started the planning stages today. Found the rock and printed up the fairy in different sizes so I could match her with the stone which is much bigger than the last one. So I will be outside covered in white and purple alabaster dust pretty soon. Nice and warm today but I have a lot of slabbing to do for Mel and I want to get that out of the way first. Jim

That Steve is a great guy, no doubt about it. I love seeing the full slabs with the shapes traced out, as it gives you a chance to see what the artist had to work with. It's a fine reminder that I need to put more thought into how I decide to cut a slab.
