It's been a while since I've been on...and I am sad I miss so many awesome cabs that everyone posts. My Apologies! Here are some I've done over the past week or so. Enjoy! Roger sent me a couple slabbetes..with the prize cab/wrap. Here's one finished. Love his Agates! Coyamito Agate I went hiking this past weekend to my favorite mine tailings. It is about 6300' level with LOTS of tailings on the pile. Here's some rough I brought back. And a Cab still in the works And one more cab with a creation added to it. I'm actually going on a date tomorrow...since my divorce I've hardly gone out...and I'm quite excited. I decided to bring a gift...hope she likes it. Just from talking with her I think it's going to be a great evening. The Imperial Jasper Heart is a cabochon. I notched the wood so it can be worn. The B-Fly and two little hearts are secured. Thanks for letting me post my stuff. I wish i had enough time to comment on everything...but I KNOW how wonderful everyone here is. steve

Hey Steve, great to see you back. Your findings from the mine tailings are awesome! What kind of mine is it? I've got some copper bearing material from here in PA that has similar coloring but with copper veins through it. Want to trade a piece of two?
I took a cab on my first date with Amber and look how that turned out. Good luck tonight.

Those are some really nice cabs, and the creations is way cool. The mine tailing rough is really interesting, and the cab from it is a beauty. Robert

The gift is wonderful, and so are the tailings and "cab in the making." But most important (maybe) is how did the date go?

Thanks Everyone! DATE UPDATE::: It was a SUCCESS! Man...I had a fantastic time. It's amazing when you meet someone for the first time and it just feels so right. She is down to earth, very friendly, super easy to talk to, beautiful smile, gorgeous eyes...It was AWESOME! Dinner, Bowling and a Movie. Can't wait to see her again. And Thanks for the compliments on the cabs. The ore material is a copper bearing quartz which may have values of silver and gold. None of this ore ever made it to the mill. The miners were in the process of digging a winze which would have eventually connected to a lower tunnel where a gravity operated tram was built...but it was never completed. The metal market crash in the early 1900's most likely shut most of these operations down. Next time I go up...I will take my big pack and pack some stuff out and offer it up here to whoever would like some. It's a hike and a half to get to...but the ore is very pretty and makes a great cab. STEVE
