This is a work in progress. It is a slab that I cut and polished of some Red Ribbon Obsidian. It is about 2" high. Because the slab is quite thin I'm going to back it with Optical Quartz. Bob

That's a new obsidian for me. Generally, does it look a bit like Mahogany Obsidian?

Pat, It is from the same area as the Mahogany Obsidian at Glass Buttes. Some of the pieces that I just got have a bit of the Mahogany coloration in them. There is also some Fire Obsidian layers in some of the pieces Bob

Pretty intense cab there, lots going on inside it when you really look at it. Cool Bob.

Bobby, that has all the makings of one of your amazing cabs! I am looking forward to seeing the end results! I know I have never seen obsidian with that intense of a red in it. Only the brown. Fran
