Donnie... are you still cutting those wire baskets full of rocks, or do you keep getting more and more new rocks?? Where are you keeping ALL these rocks?!

Both, Helen! Although I have quit buying any more for now! I need a new wheel for the Genie & I need some silver wire. I really haven't begun to touch those wire baskets, except for the Montanas I have sold & a few Brazilians they are pretty much intact.

The Bostonian agate slabs (or are they Queensland?) are gonna make some knock-out cabs!

Hi - I'm pretty sure the two slabs in the 1st pic are "Green Tree agate" and the ones in the pix you labeled "have a whole bag of this stuff" look, to me, like Nipomo Marcasite. Nice mess o' slabbin'! Wish I'd quit second-guessing myself and get busy building (from scratch and made out of "scratch") the 14 inch one I keep promising myself I'll build. Got all the parts - though only the blade is actually a saw or even a lapidary part - just have to figure the right first move so that I don't get 1/2 done and find out I screwed up in the design... C-ya, Rick

Rick, just go for it & get that saw built! I wish that one were Nipomo Marcasite! Although the metallic substance in it looks like the maracsite in the Nipomo, I don't think the rest of it is right.
