I am hoping to obtain a 24" saw I looked at today. It isn't working, but I think (hope really!) I can fix it simply.
It needs a new blade. I know I have seen posts from veterans about their choice of blade but searching did not find them.
Would you guys be so kind as to share your blade choice?
Thank and kind regards

Probably the easiest place to start is by asking John at JSGems. Seems like many of the people here buy blades from him too, but you don't have to buy a blade, he's just super knowledgeable and helpful:).

post pics of the saw and a description of what it needs. Who is the manufacturer? Big saws can be finicky if they aren't set up right, and the loss of a $500.00 plus blade is an expensive lesson. John will get you a good price on a good quality blade. I would probably use a Barranca or MK 303s blade personally.

Yup, what Lee says. The MK/BD 303S. Use one myself, and love it.

Hi, I have a heavy duty 24" saw with a new blade that I must get rid of. Moving soon. I'm just north of San Francisco.

Post pics and a price. Theres a few members within driving distance who may be interested. Normally us folks on this forum are a little shy about doing business with newcomers. Nothing personal just the nature of the internet. However since selling a big saw like that really needs to be an in-person transaction I think we're all safe.

I needed a blad fast and was really getting tired of the thinner kerf bladesI was using, minor rock slippage in the vse killed more than I care to talk about. John at JSGems took great care of me, I got the MK303 and it was here in no time. Great guy to deal with
