Got a BUNCH of used burs from a friend to play around with. Was messing around testing the shapes and sizes to see what I liked. An hour later I didn't half mind the result. I'd like to get the waves thinner but they don't line up perfectly on both sides since I didn't plan or mark the stone or anything, just eyeballed and free handed. I think im just going to knock off the greyish part since its not speaking to me. Either way, thinking this is pretty fun and a different game than cabbing indeed! Attachments:

Looks ok from where I'm coming from. Its freeform, my favorite to work on. LOL Not lining up precisely? Don't be so hard on yourself. A little more time and practice and those things fall into play just right.

Very kewl!! I like it, and the best part is you already polished it!! Polishing is what's killing me... I can't figure out how to get inside the thin little lines I keep carving for no reason.

That's pretty great for a first attempt. Methinks we have a natural in our midst.

Awesome first. It is pretty amazing that you worked both sides without breaking through somewhere. Great job. Jim

Good job with this - especially for a first attempt.
