Hi everyone, Just in some super stuff received from Indonesia. Daniel, a friend on another forum, agreed to sell me some of his super stash. Agate Tubes and Chrysola ![](http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb340/kainzerkurt/AgateTubesandChrysola.jpg) Some Jaspers from Indonesia; wonderful colors and the one in the middle has a spiderweb of shiny bronze. ![](http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb340/kainzerkurt/IndonesianJaspers.jpg) Some coral or wood (the one on the right, see close-up below) ![](http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb340/kainzerkurt/coralorwood.jpg) My favorite though is this one. Daniel calls it Rane Plume wood. It looks filled with contrasting colors of plume, yet shows fibers and is translucent at times. Very strange material. I can imagine that it must have cristalized from inside out as, what apears to be the rind/bark is still soft enough to be rubbed off. ![](http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb340/kainzerkurt/Palm.jpg) Question: What is the most desirable color on Chrysola ![](http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb340/kainzerkurt/Sillicafiedchrysocola.jpg) Daniel also send me Some of the Bumblebee he introduced last week. Nice color and will stay as reference sample with me as I have no plan to cut it. ![](http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb340/kainzerkurt/Bumblebee.jpg) Daniel and I where talking about my intertest in cultures and superstitions. And Indonesia is a very fertile ground for all sorts of traditional fascinations. He send me a traditional talisman, that appears to be a fossilized shark-tooth or something like. ![](http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb340/kainzerkurt/FozilisedSharktooth.jpg) Thank you sooooo much for all that fantastic material. Super fast delivery and everything arrived in best order.

Love that piece of bumblebee on the right.
If the chrysocolla had a brighter red I'd call it Sonorran Sunrise.

Yeah I got lucky, I just asked if he is willing to let go of some indigenous material that he would use for his own high end carving/cabbing. I got to admit that its a bit more expensive, but the quality seems to match at first sight, and I would be the last to complain about that as there are several pieces that are rarely seen outside Indonesia. As I love experimenting with new stuff, I'm quite happy with the stuff overall.
The Bumblebee seems quite popular right now with a lot of people, but for me its an interesting specimen, nothing much more. LOL
