Looks like an old Star Diamond saw. They're gooduns. Gave one just like it to a friend a couple years ago.

It says that it has a 9" blade. I wonder how big a stone it can cut Stu

I suspect that's really a 10" blade. They probably measured across the table top. The blade center is below the table about 1". Before I gave mine away, I was able to cut rocks about 3-1/2" thick by 4" wide with it.

What a sweet deal. I hope an RTHer gets it.

It's mine now. Waiting for me in my brother-in-law's garage. I should have it in June.

Hey Chuck, congrats. Glad to see an RTH member got it. I'll still bet it's a 10" saw. When you get it, remove the table and measure across the center of the blade. As I said earlier, I gave one just like it to a newby friend. It was my first saw. If you have any questions about it, ask away.
As a matter of fact, my old saw will be moving to Ely, Mn. around mid summer. Don

Congrats, I am surprised it stayed listed that long at that price. It was listed a few days before I put the link on here.

Yes, thanks for posting it Chuck!!!
I have one of these saws already with a power feed and a hood. I'm also certain this is a 10" saw. It should be relatively easy to make a plexi hood for this one using my hood as a pattern. I also plan to install gravity feed to make slabbing easier.
I'll most likely give it or sell it to a friend of mine who doesn't have a saw. Lapidary equipment sells quickly around here and for top dollar because of all the rock hounds. I paid $250 for mine and thought I was getting a good deal!
I see there's a 6" one on ebay right now with a current bid of $81 and 4 days left, so I feel really fortunate to have gotten this one so cheaply. Thanks again Chuck!
