I took a chance on Cal, and was very happy with the results. I explained to him I wanted to polish some obsidian needles and use them as bodies for butterflies and dragonflies as prizes for our club wheel of fortune next year. When he found out what I was using them for he kindly agreed to send them to me for just shipping costs. Here is what he sent along with a prototype of a butterfly. I think it is hard for someone new to "break into the board" as most of us have been around a while and are 'talkative'  Glads to hear you also had a good deal with Cal! Sue |

I talked with Cal on the phone and he seems pretty straight up, just new to the scene and has alot of rock to move by a deadline. He also sent me pics of what he is moving and most of it has to be humped out by hand, so I can see how he would want to sell some off so he wouldn't have to move it as far.
Good to see a good deal go through.
If someone wants a good deal on a pickup load or a trunk load, it would help him out and get you a good deal on a pile of rock. I wish I was closer I would go get a few loads, but by the time I haul it that far I will have $600-800 in fuel plus the cost of the rock.

Chris, I got 2 different boxes from him and I was really happy with both of them!! The 2nd one wasn't what I was expecting... which was tumbling opals, he sent me a variety of agates! This doesn't bother me since I feel I more than got my money's worth already, and I loved what he sent both times.
Maybe he got overwhelmed with the number of orders he got?? I'd try PMing him again. I definitely got the feeling that rocks isn't his main business, and he happened onto this big closeout of rocks. He may have put all the rocks on a back burner for a bit?
