I took a quick trip out to a nearby river this morning for my first fishing trip of the year. High water will come soon, and it will be many weeks before it recedes. It was lightly raining, alternating with corn snow. Had a great time, I had to work for the fish though. I caught a couple Browns and Rainbows. River is up a couple feet and cloudy. A bit swift, but fishable. On the way back I found a few chert/jaspers and some wood. Thanks for looking, Bill And, the trout. Gonna fry up a couple nice and crispy for dinner. The first one with the quarter on him is a 16" German Brown. They sure are pretty, wish I could cab them. . . like this.

The trout look pretty tasty! I got pretty spoiled living in New Zealand for 12 years....minimum trout length is sixteen inches. Hard to beat fresh trout all fried up crispy, eh. Woody

I usually pick up a few stones while I'm trout fishing but the stones here are pretty lame. Fortunately the fishing is better, caught 7 the other night after work fishing with my stepson. I like your fish cabs but I bet they'd smell pretty bad. lol
