Bought a gallon of Gem Lube from Kingsley North to give it a try. It's a water soluble coolant similar to Lube Cool. Gem Lube is fantastic! Doesn't foam like Lube Cool and time will tell to see how the blade holds up. My blade didn't need sharpening as much. So far so good.

Larry, would that be necessary on any size saw? I'm getting a 10" soon. Thanks.

I've been using Lube Cool for over a year in my 10" Covington. Was experiencing all kinds of problems. It foams like crazy and had some premature blade wear, mainly with the last batch I bought. Gem Lube is mixed the same, 10/1 with water and you can tell the ingredients are totally different. Smells different too.
