Chris, that's a GREAT heart! It's hard to polish that curve on top... as I found out, because guess what I made this week? You're not going to believe this... LOL! I made this out of a piece of your material too!!! I can't fully polish on my machine, because my 14,000 wheel is ruined, so I have it tumbling still. But when I saw your pix I thought it was too funny that we made the same thing at the same time, so I pulled it out of the tumbler and shot it to show you:). I think the forum doesn't like 'graveyard' things... last graveyard piece I posted, hardly anyone looked or commented either. I think they need to change the name of the rock. It's a really cool plume, but not the most inspiring name! Think about it... who would want a 'graveyard heart'? LOL! We should call them 'plumey feather hearts' instead:P. hehehe.

Those are both cool hearts. It is funny that you both made the same thing at the same time, great minds think alike. I don't mind graveyard things as long as they are as pretty as these hearts.

Killer heart Helen!!!! I think that is some of the Kern Plume I mined year before last. You did an awesome job on it! The red plumes give it away.

Crematorium plumes?! YUCK! LOL! Thanks guys, I think the plumes make gorgeous hearts! Just the name is unappealing:P. Kern Plume sounds much better!!! I love how you got the plume in the center of the heart like that, Chris... great positioning! I was going for a 'background' heart, so I didn't care so much what was going on in the middle. I'm going to stick a piece of glass over the little pits in the middle of mine, which is actually pretty huge, it's over 2" in diameter:). Haven't quite decided what to put over it, but will show you a couple of pieces I made to apply over stone backgrounds, since I know I can get it to stick permanently now. These colors may be far too gemmy for this stone, I will make some more toned down ones later when the stones are done tumbling, but maybe you'd like to see (was thinking the flames one on left): I have more glass in the tumbler right now too, to give them a more organic texture. Here's a closeup of one of the above pieces since the lighting above doesn't show them too well: My son thinks these won't work, says they are way over the top too modern for rocks, which is probably true:(. We'll see:).

Wow on the glass. The one in the close up is fanonamal. The thing that is also amazing is that the glass started as stone that broke down to sand then ended up being glass. Definitely part of the rock world. Jim
