Ok, thanks! I'll let the recipient (Lyle) decide as well whether to include his email if he would like direct confirmation regarding status and delivery! That doesn't need to be shared on the forum though I haven't pm'ed him yet........ waiting on the box!!!!

As you all know by now, sometimes I don't think things through all the way. Keeping the delivery confirmation private is prob the way to go. Thank you so much Krystee!

OH OH OH!!! Got the box today! So much fun!!! Hope you guys like pictures because I'm a little over the top with that and I just spent two hours with my daughters carefully unraveling every super surprise in this box!!! Beautiful stuff that so many people are going to covet! I tried really really and then..... REALLY hard not to take much..... gotta say though Sheri..... if I didn't already own Sugilite and worked it myself then I would be snagging that! Left it for someone else though Here's what I did get though. I have never used findings before, I've always wire wrapped or sent them out so... got a couple of those. Also, a cab stand! HECK YEAH!!! That has been on my "To-Buy" list forever! I only took one. Also too a To-Die for beautiful turquoise bead. I've never worked or owned turquoise before so this was something very special for me to receive! Ok, tired of my rambling yet? Ready to see what I got??? Ok, first picture is of a box mishap . Thank goodness it wasn't bad but it definitely broke. I am going to reinforce the inside with cardboard and tape the heck out of it. I don't have any spare mfrb's in my possession right now so I have to make do with this one. Someone else though might consider swapping with a new box? Here is what I picked out to keep for myself: The close-ups: Awesome huh?!?! Ok... off to do my next post of what I'm adding in!

OK!!!!! Remember how I said I was over the top on pictures? Well.... that was an understatement. Here is what I'm adding.... God will let me fit this in ;D The group: The close-ups wet down with a spray bottle: Hunk of Gold Sheen Obsidian, may or may not have fire according to Woody (who I bought it from) Hunk of a brand new material just discovered this year from Rodney and Jamie (rckdgr and desertdweller ~ rth names) They found this new material mining and I think it's called Apache Jasper but I'm not sure. I sent an email to verify? The slabs: Most of these are labelled! OK Lyle, it's off to you either tomorrow or Saturday!!!!!

Looks good and sounds good. I will get another box, to replace the damaged one.
Looks like I will receive the box, middle of next week, with the holiday being on Monday. I'm leaving town next Friday, June 1st, to find Selenite crystals in Oklahoma. I will be gone until June 4th and I will get the box back on the way after that. I'm planning on adding some Selenite crystals to the box.

It is on it's way to Lyle today! I pm'ed him the confirmation # and also included his email on USPS.com so that he will receive email alerts from them. Also, just an FYI, if you print your label from your home computer at USPS.com then you get an 80 cent credit off of the amount due and free delivery confirmation. I also added $100 in insurance. I'm not sure if Sheri did that or not? That brought the amount to an even $17.00 (otherwise online it costs $14.65) Sheri and Don really put a lot of stuff in the box. It took me over an hour to figure out how to fit my rocks and slabs in there. I was shocked that it is so stuffed right out of the starting gate ;D And I'll apologize right now for any strange cat hairs that may have gotten shipped, my cat Tessa, kept laying on everything as I was trying to pack it LOL! Here's how it left (I tried packing as many slabs as I could in the two smfrb's. Hopefully that keeps them from getting broken):

Wow Krystee, I'm starting to wish I hadn't sat this round out. Still fun watching what's coming out of, and going into the box.

The box is in Weatherford, Texas and it arrived in real good shape. Just taken a peek in the box and my one rock hounding son is checking things out too. Lots of nice looking goodies in the box.
I will get another box and replace some of the baggies, some of them are starting to take a beating, no big deal though.
I would like to ship the box out after I make a rock hounding trip up to Oklahoma this coming weekend, leaving Friday and will be back Sunday and can mail the box out Monday.

The box has been dropped off at the post office. I got insurance and tracking on the box. Here is what I removed from the box. Here is what I put in the box. This is some information on what I put in the box. Miscellaneous slabs Small Pyrite from Magnet Cove, Arkansas Pyrite nodules from TXI Cement Quarry, in Midlothian Texas. The quarry is still a working quarry. McDermitt Thunder egg Hauser Geode Bariam Barite Nodule from Cache, Oklahoma. Glow under blacklight Unknown Rough Unknown Rough from Sterling Hill Mine in New Jersey. Selenite Crystals, from the Salt Plains in Jet Oklahoma. Picked them up this past weekend. They are known for the hour glass shape inside of them. Here is a you tube video on how it's done. I did not find any big clusters and due to the rain we were only able to go 1 day. Very cool experience in participating in the traveling rock box activity. Thanks, Lyle
