OOps! I think I did 3 Blue Hole stones and 5 agates by the looks of it... For those who may wonder, the Blue Hole is a top secret place that only the local folks up here know about... The rocks I sent are what make the Blue Hole...well...blue. Here are a couple of photos... So that's why they're special... Enjoy the box! It's incredibly fun!!! Cathy

Me too, guys! It's really cool to see what goes in and out of it on it's travels! It left this morning and should arrive to John soon. I'm going to PM him the info. I did insure it for $100 and got delivery confirmation on it. At the Post Office, they said that I would have to send it express to get an actual tracking number, but the confirmation number would tell me it arrived. Have you guys been expressing it around?
In any event, great time and lots of fun to be part of! I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with it next!
Cathy

Well as I've mentioned I am out of town, actually across the country in Narragansett, Rhode Island on a 3-week family vacation. I was out all day yesterday, but when I came home there was a package for me at my brother's house. This morning I got up and took the box outside and had my kids and my niece and nephew come outside with me to look at everything. Everything was neatly packed Then we took it all out and had a look: I let each of them pick 2 rocks and a necklace. There was a package of 72 steel necklaces and 6 of the kids took one of those. The 2 oldest girls picked leather necklaces with magnetic clasps. Here is my oldest, Emma with her 2 tumbled stones and leather necklace: My niece Elizabeth took one of the Montana Agate slabs I was adding and a piece of AZ Chrysocolla with her necklace: My son Corben took a chain, a tumbled stone, and a piece of AZ Chrysocolla: Matthew was really into his breakfast when I asked him to take his pic, but he picked 2 tumbled stones and a chain: This is my nephew Ethan, today is his 11th birthday. He picked a chain, a moqui ball and a tumbled stone: Another nephew, Lucas, picked a chain, a dolomite specimen that broke apart (but is still cool) and a tumbled stone: My nephew Carter (in real like he looks exactly like the kid from A Christmas Story) picked a chain, a moqui ball and one of my Montana slabs My Abby picked a chain, a piece of pyrite and a pink tumbled stone (par for the course) There was a plastic box that had a bunch of tumbled stones in it with a bot bracelet. The box was destroyed so I ended up putting the tumbled stones in a couple baggies and getting rid of the box: I also did a little housekeeping and pulled out all the little chips and fragments that were floating around in the various boxes. Here is everything that I removed (broken stuff and a few slabs). There was a small piece of agate that somehow I forgot to repack so I will hang onto that too. I found a way to add about 2# of old collection Montana Agate slabs I had brought along with me. I was glad to see that there wasn't a whole bunch of Montana already in the box, although there was some: I scattered the Montana in various places, some on top in a baggie, some packed more carefully into several of the slab boxes. Hopefully I stuck to the rules. I didn't see anything earmarked for anyone, I added more than I took, I left all the big chunks alone (If I would have been in Colorado I could have slabbed some stuff). Anything that sounded expensive I left in the box. If I messed anything up please let me know and I will make it right. I didn't unpack the neatly, individually packaged slabs. I bet those are beauties. This was fun, I'll get hold of G R and get this in the mail ASAP.

What awesome pics of cool and adorable kids! Put a big smile on my face seeing that. That plastic container was put in by me. Knew it was possible that it would be pulverized, hoped someone would grab it before that happened, LOL. Jo

Hey John, What a wonderful family you have. These pictures are pricelss. Looks like all of you are having a great time. You are not that far away from me. I am in NJ. If you plan on being in the garden state let me know. RI is a great state. I once took my boat to Block Island for an extended weekend when I was living on Long Island. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and be safe on the road. Stu

It's off again!
I received the box last Friday in Narragansett, RI and just mailed it from West Middlesex, PA.
usps tracking 0311 3260 0002 4496 2960
The guy at the post office said "you know those boxes are free, right?"
Added $100 insurance although I'm not sure how that would get distributed if the thing was lost or damaged.
