I'm pretty much known for my Deco-ish style, but I was challenged by a friend to do something Art Nouveau-ish a while back and was recently inspired by Mary Tucker, who did a Nouveau hair comb. So, I spent the whole day yesterday letting this morph into my take on Art Nouveau. This isn't the final product, though. (hence the quickie picture and dirty hand LOL!) I'm going to attempt to rewrap this angelite in silver in the same way. On another note-- I'm going to my first rock club meeting tonight and I'm so excited! Attachments:

Holly cow, I can not believe you are going to take that OFF. Take it to the meeting and get some other opinions about taking it off but be careful because they may want to strangle you for having those thoughts. Jim

Thanks!!
LOL!!! Glad I read this before I cut- I was just getting ready to liberate the stone. I'll bring it to the meet. The thing is- I like the wrap- I just want to see it in silver instead of copper. This baby blue screams for silver. I want to redo the bail (again), too.

Will you keep the final link/twist at the bottom? That would look even better yet with a nice black pearl tangling from it.

KK, It does beg for it, doesn't it? I think I have just the pearl for it, too.

That is beautiful. I agree silver would look great with that blue stone but it would be a shame to cut off such a great wrap. Have fun at the meeting.

I like the copper but see why you would want to go silver. How did you like the meeting? Hope it went well! We had a presentation on Newfoundland at ours last night.

Thanks for the well wishes and comments I've redone it in silver and like the look better. My rock meet went well. I got to meet Randy which was nice- he's awesome! There were more people than I expected. Everyone seemed real friendly. Me and DH will definitely be going back. Randy has kindly and generously invited my husband and I over to learn some cabbing. How flippin' cool is that???!!! Looks like I WILL learn before I die LOL!! I have wanted to cab for so so very long. I'm so excited! Attachments:

I have been back and forth three times and I can not tell which one is awesomer but a very close race puts the copper a bail ahead. I like the copper bail just a hair more. But that is me and my style knowledge could be put in your eye ten times without a blink. lol Jim

I like the copper best! It gave it a great contrast & such a delicate look. The silver is pretty but the copper just really set the stone off nice! Of course that is only a personal preference!

LOL! When I work with copper, I like the fact that I can just cut it off if I don't like it. But, after I have committed to silver, I pretty much always leave it on. In fairness, this honestly is better looking than the picture, but the copper looked great, too. I think it's a toss up.
