I collected this fragment of fossil fern at the 9,000 ft. level in the Italian Alps. Passo dello Stelvio. Lombardia Province, Italy. Collected on 8/25/1982.

Nice country to visit, but not to drive in. Every Italian driver thinks he/she is Mario Andretti. I prefer Spain myself.
