I was changing grits in my outside tumbler and this gal landed on my bench. She was over 5" across imgur.com/a/RD1dO#0 The imgur photos have a small enlarge + sign in the upper right corner to get much larger image. Attachments:

I must say a moth that size would give me the willies. However, a butterfly that size would not, and would be a welcome companion. Odd!

I think that's a cecropia moth. Do a search for a picture of it's caterpillar. I've never seen one, but they're really cool looking in the pictures I've seen.
