Some of the Candelaria area variscite material (southwest of Damele) looks very much like yours. Are you certain that it is turquoise? Beautiful patterns and color.

rocks2dust, I was looking in to this and it seems, (short of scientific analysis) that, a scratch test could determine and, an ultraviolet light should differentiate the two. now all I need to do is find a uv light. Apperantly the variscite will flores under the uv light and turquoise won't
