Interesting landscape and nice find.
Would get lost in all that open space. I think I would not be suited for living in an area like that. I need trees and forest.

KK The forest starts at the edge of the mountains which is 20 minutes from my house. That is going east. Going west I can be in the mountains in 60 minutes and Yellowstone Park in one hour and 20 minutes. If you have never heard of Yellowstone Park you should look it up. There is only two other places like it in the world and they are miniscule in comparison.
My rock hounding areas start two miles from my house and extend just about forever and it is pretty much untouched because there are so few people here. If you took all the people in Wyoming out hounding it would probably take them ten years to cover it all. And in that time there would be so much new stuff exposed you would have to start all over again. I would rather hound than work the rock and that is why I have tons of rock that will never get worked. The state is also covered in fossils. Everything from small pieces of coral to dinos. Summer paradise for people like us but I am getting set up to go south for the winter. Pretty hard to hound when there is snow or the rocks are frozen down so hard you have to chip them out of the ground.
Come over some time and we will go find some good rocks. lol Jim

Nice finds Wampidy, I'm really like dendrite agate also. Have a few pounds that need to be slabbed. Its some of the old Mex parell stuff. Like looking in a aquarium at times.

Looks good Jim! Looks like a good haul and you got to spend some time with your son. Plus you didn't feel bad for long! I need to make it up your way.
