After doing a fair amount of research I got started this weekend tumbling glass for a landscaping project. Yesterday my wife and were out and found a Lortone FL 15 lap machine at a flea market. Does anyone know if this is worth making an offer on and if so, what? It won't do me any good right now but I figure as things progress it might come in handy.

I bought a Lortone 15" vibe lap with two pans and the polish pad many years ago. I think I paid $250 and later sold it for $300. It worked OK but I was not impressed with how slow it worked. If you can get it for under $200 you could always get your money out of it. Take a ruler and lay it across the bottom of the pans (inside). They need to be completely flat to work. The unit when new included 2 pans (one for grinding, one for polish).

Welcome!
Alot depends on the condition and what comes with it. It is worth anywhere from $50 to $300, you can use it to put a mirror polish on a flat surface.
Good luck with it....................Tony

Plug it in first and if you hear anything that sounds like possible bearing noise skip it.
