Okay, I did clean it up some before I took the pictures!! I've been cutting the Sonoran Dendritic & I think I have going to have to change the oil & maybe even the blade before I do anymore cutting! Got a few things I need to get the hang of before I can make a blade last me a long time! Mainly patience! And the weight of my bucket, which I have been using just enough weight to make it go so it's going slooooooow. Didn't want to rush it too much, at least most of the time! Which thickness of blades do you all generally use for a 10" saw, .040 or .032? This oil is in the cart where the saw sits What I cut today This would have been the next one off but the blade quit cutting. I had to take the last slab out of the vice, turn it over & finish it by hand. I will work this stuff down to sizes I can cut with the tile saw & finish them off with water!

Your blade probably just needs to be dressed. Clean it out, put in fresh oil then try cutting a piece of coarse grindstone, a red fire brick or some obsidian to expose more diamond.

yes. you should be able to run the blade all the way down if you dress it when it slows.
when you cut rhyolite you could try adding a little more oil to keep the cut well flushed.
I would use .040. Are you using a 303?
