Nice job! I started working on some lapis myself and not having a good result with the finish polish. Can I ask what do you use.

my machine is a 6 wheeler , home built. Final wheel is 3000 grit diamond. I use cerium to polish.....In essence I am just a beginner....Started in march.....I am finding that sufficient time and care at each stage is the biggest determining factor to gwtting a good polish....When it seems the stone is ready for the next stage I do just a bit more at the current stage............I hope this helps but I would gladdly defer to the opinions of the many here who have far more experience than I when polishing any particular stone is concerned............

Nothing wrong in what you mention. I have mine down to a 2000 grit and wasnt inpressed when i started to use diamond paste. Going to try the cerium. Thanks!

Lovely cabs, nice shapes and good finish. I have never worked lapis, but I read quite often others comment that it can be quite bothersome to get a good finish.
Great job!

Beautiful cabs, I especially like the pictural wonderstone and the lapis shield in the left. Great job on the hexagon too, very clean and simetric shape.

Yep since march.....been reading about cabbing for a couple years or more...when I got my tax return this year I bought all the stuff and built a 6 wheel machine , bought an old 4 inch tile saw and some slabs and have been hacking away at it since........also since have added a 10 inch tile saw to cut small slabs ....
