Geoff, I've never heard of it. Looked at the first photo, and thought so what. Scrolled down to the second shot, and WOW! That's what.

That really beats the hell out of none. That is like me searching for three days and finding a wagon load of my good stuff. I just finished destroying a piece of moonstone that Krysta sent to me so I could make a crescent moon cab. Some pretty tough stuff to work with because of all the fractures. When it broke it fell into a dozen little pieces so there was no way to put it back together.
Is it possible to stabilize that stone. I would like to give it another try some day. Gorgeous blue light. Jim

Hi Geoff,
I"ve been hand sanding several pieces of the Wausau Moonstone that I picked up in the area - it takes a great shine!
I've also worked a few pieces into freeform cabs with great results. If you feel brave, cleave your piece down the middle following the natural lines - you are likely to end up with two nice pieces with moonstone showing on all four sides.
Good luck
