I was thinking about Mazanec's "pre-beginner" thread and that reminded me of when I was a kid taking swimming lessons. We'd all get badges as we progressed through the levels... (tadpole, guppie, trout - I forget what they all were). I think we could use this same system...you know....no one's a "pre-beginner"...they coud be a "pebble"... and we could go through the levels ...right up to Andy who could be "Master Flame Agate Boulder" or something. The thing is, I have no clue what the other levels would be...any ideas?

LOL hermatite ;D - I think you'd find it would be me whose the pebble round here.
I tumble a lot of stuff for certain - but I reckon the master title would go to others.
Thinking of which - Ive just got time to go and get that tiger eye I said i'd promise myself.
(err and more barrels - and more grit .....)

I call myself a pre-beginner because I am not yet actually "doing" anything other than reading. I figure I will be a beginner if and when I get a tumbler and start tumbling.

Actuallly, the more I think about this whole idea the more I want to stand up and sneer and say "badges? we doan need no steeenkin badges". ahem...that could just be me. Welcome to the board Mazanec...are you SURE you don't want to be a "pebble"?

I don't care much what you call me. I'll try to get down to Rocks 'N Chips and see what they have, but it is almost downtown and I don't like driving there, and my schedule is kinda tightish.

Okay...forgive me...I was just fooling around. No biggie. I tend to do that sometimes. Good luck with the hobby.
