I just got a shipment in from Hand2Mouth Mining. Here is the first cab from what I received. Depending upon the light the sheen is silverish or greenish. Also was difficult to photograph. I have a couple where all you can see my hand and cell phone taking the picture prominiently. Thanks for looking.

Nice work, Bob! ;D ;D ;D
Photo tips:
The full daylight of late afternoon is the time to photograph obsidian. We use a neutral background, a tripod and a Kodak " point & shoot" camera. To avoid shake, use "Sport" mode, and set the timer. Other than that, practice, practice, practice.
Thanks for the photos!

Gosh, that is gorgeous!! Very pretty!! Haven't ever cabbed any obsidian before but have a couple of slabs that I look at every now and then. Saw some of the material posted on the GO forum that hand2mouthmining posted on there. Gorgeous stuff, Kris and Al!

"Why, Mr. Ranger, sir, I didn't pick up that rock ... It recognized a rockhound, and jumped right up to be petted!"
That signature is classic. While I really do try to abide by the rules, no doubt that will be me someday.

Everybody needs some of this obsidian. I've been slabbing the materials I picked up from them and it's awesome. And, as you can see here, works up into some great looking cabs. Great looking piece, Bob! Love the way it is either jet black or shimmering green.
