snuffy...yep blues....its catch and da grease...no catch and release....not that many fish really when they average 20 to 40 lbs a piece.
helen its not a stocked lake....2 lakes were built in the 40's for a hydro electric plant.....it's widely known as some of the best fishing in the U.S.
they arent really found per say.....a spot is picked where one thinks fish may be....then lines with 50 hooks per line are baited with smelly deer meat....dropped to the bottom of the lake....and hope the bait is close enough to fish to draw them in.
nope no new freezers ;D...the fish is split up between probably 15 people.
well back of to the same lake....no fishing this weekend....its party time....on the party barge....kev.

no catch limit on cats huh? pretty cool. I've always wanted to go out to lake Powell and get a mess of Stripers for the freezer.

only limit in S.C. on catfish is 1 fish per day over 36"...there are folks pushing for limits on catfish...which i do not oppose at all...there is always the possibility unlimited fishing could cause damage....but it hasn't at this point....the lakes just breed them really well.
our best friend that has the lake house where we go often...has a commercial license to fish these lakes for catfish....can catch all he wants....and lay out all the lines he wants....but only takes enough fish to cover the orders he has....whether restauraunts or individuals.
there is people that will take more than needed....none of us like that....kev.
