Hi there, hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and is save from the fires we see on the news every day.
Finally managed to get presentable legs (if not realistic) onto my lizard and was grinding the base into shape, as disaster struck.
A 3 point break
Not all is lost, the breaks can hardly be seen, even if you look for it. There are seams at the tail-section that would more likely draw ones eye when one is looking for breaks.
Shadow-play walk-around
In full sunshine
That was the plan as to how I imagined it to be worn. Grabbed my son to model for a change.
Considering that he was on his way out to work, and he wanted to take off with it, I'm quite happy with the overall look. After being told why he could not get away with it, he searched for fractures and could not find it.
So now instead of being worn, it going to be the first piece of mine to go onto one of two walls of mine, reserved for my collecting habits.
I always collected small jade figurines, but I never realized just how big they where in comparison to the things I'm trying to make. Man, suddenly those figurines are huge!!!
So in the end, everything considered, I'm not sure if I should not be actually glad that it broke. I keep imagine that it could have been worn and break into a hundred pieces without chance to recover. At least, now I got a keepsake example, even though I can not wear it safely.
Best regards, and thanks for looking, Kurt
