I really like what Hub has been doing with his groove wraps. I asked him about how to do the grooves and he gave me the info. Thanks! So, here is my first groove wrap. Nice and simple. I haven't even given it a patina yet. The wire is only 20g as it is a small stone, but it is very sturdy and tight. The first stone I grooved was one part of an earring pair. It was sodalite. I chose it because it was soft and I wasn't sure about the machine. I had bevel cut the 2 stones for earrings. However, not being familiar with the machine.... that first small stone was ripped from my fingers and thrown across the room. Of course, it broke. The machine cut this agate like butter.

Thanks! That's ok Hub, it would have flown even if you had warned me. Slippery is a good word to describe an itty bitty, shiny, wet rock.
