I have a couple of new ones to post. I have been studying the work of everyone here, hoping to improve on my work, and style. I am finding I like a mixture of simple and elegant, and sometimes a bit of fancy work. Of course, this is always subject to change as I progress. Maybe. Anyway, here they are. The pink looking one is the best piece of rhodochrosite I have had the pleasure of cabbing. And, the other one is a pretty nice piece of rutilated quartz. I tried to acheive a balance of simple, yet a bit fancy. Did I accomplish that? What do you think? BTW, Zoe is doing better, took her out to eat this evening, first time since she went into the hospital back Mem. day weekend. First time she has felt up to it, so, progress!! Thank you all for looking!! Mike

You definitely accomplished something, those are amazing! I'm not sure which one I like the best, maybe the rutile. (I really like rutile) Beautiful work bud

Hey, great job! I'd say these are simple with just enough panache. I good middle ground to shoot for. I love that rhodo- super sweet!

WOW, beautiful pieces, Mike. They came out awesome. Love the red but agree with BikerRandy - the rutile is great looking too. Paul

Beautiful stones, both! I think you hit the mark of perfect balance, very simple but with just enough fancy to give them the elegance you were looking for! Great work and I'm glad Zoe is feeling better!!!!!
