Summer in Prudhoe Bay is full of 5k fun runs/walks. Last night was the Greater Prudhoe Bay 5k by BP headquarters. Windy as all hell, but it kept the mosquitoes away. Next one is Wednesday, then Thursday.

why do you think they love their winters:<)))) not just mosquitos, in the short time it's above zero, life speeds up to a frenetic pace.

I read that the mosquito are very bad in the summer. The army corp of engineers had a big problem with them during WWII. Stu

When I worked up there (sept) the artic foxs were everywhere . we went fishing alot motel was really crappy. food was good , bears were seen ALOT .
