Looks cool! I want to make one sometime, I think the slabs have to be really thin to get them to ring? Bill

I have one made of brazilian agate and the pcs. are 1/4 in. thick that tinkles and clinks away just fine! I'm surprised yours don't; but thinking about it, mine are quite long; about 6inx2in wide. Just have to be carefull in storms; one of my pcs broke from slamming too hard

Nice chimes there.Havent got around to making any yet.I came upon a large supply of thin Brazilian agate slabs from a fella that made and sold windchimes for a long time. They are real thin, good for guitar picks and windchimes. The supply I have is currently soaking in buckets, they had been in 55 gallon barrels for years and years in the elements and needed to be cleaned. If there is any interest in these,I could purchase more the next time I make a rock run in a couple months. The last time I was at the rockshop,I saw the order form where they can purchase these thin slabs.I dont currently have them for sale, but plan to in the future.

Nice chimes! Is the wood that they are hung from? If so, that could possiably cause sound dampening - just a thought
