and it's been SO hot everywhere else. so i finally got a chance to finish some cabs: a 25mm x 18 mm Corprolite that Tony (Catman) sent me material for a few years ago: another 25mm x 18mm Wonderstone that Randy sent me a while back: this is some red OJ that i actually found for sale here locally at some glass blowing shop, the lady that ran the store bought a whole bunch of stuff that she'd just tucked away: and some Mex Lace that i've had kicking around for a while: and an idon'tknow-ite agate of some sort, photo sucks, but it's got some things going on inside. and another shot of that dino poo and another red OJ in the sunshine: thanks for looking! KD

Fantastic cabs. The red OJ however is classic Guadalupe Poppy Jasper out of California. Probably scarcer and cooler than OJ so very cool.....Mel

thanks for the correction, Mel. you are the rock ID-meister. that would make more sense coning from an older collection that was probably collected out west and then tucked away up here in CNY. i got quite the box of stuff for $40 bucks. some of it was crap, but some it was pretty cool.

AWesome stuff, that wonderstone turned out nice!! It has been a while, because my last wonderstone purchase was probably 6 years ago ;D ..... which reminds me, I still have a slab of Botswana agate that you sent me about 5 or 6 years ago. Honest, it's right here in front of me. I should cab it too. lol

It's good to know that I'm not the only one that puts cool stuff away for a few years before finally "getting around to it!" The nice thing about rocks is they'll just sit in a box, or on a shelf, and not require any care for YEARS! And sometimes, they are a nice surprise when you stumble across them, looking for something else Nice lookin' stuff, KD! And, yes, the poppy jasper is awesome! Jean Oh, wait - they are ALL awesome!

All are beautiful but that poppy jasper is just a happy little stone! Something about the design just makes me have to smile, lol! Great work and glad you could stay cool!
