The rebuild today was not quite as successful today as yesterday, primarily because it is after July 4, and, while this is absolutely not intended to offend, it is a state of fact. We live in what is known as "The Borscht Belt." We do. It's beautiful as long as you stay out of stores in the summer, but this is where we live. For anyone who lives west of the NE Corridore, go here to find out about it...and the hotel list is out of date. The Tammarac is a done deal ...due to lightneing...as of this past spring.

So we awoke this morning and after doing email and the like decided to proceed onto the workroom. It was decided upon dressing that we needed nails for today's portion of the project...which entailed making a grocery list because it is after July 4 and because of the summer population, everyone else in the county does everything they have to do on Saturday morning because the stores aren't so crowded.
We headed for Home Depot which is usually a 40 minute drive away, but now, because it is summer is an hour away, and got the nails...along with the peanut butter we needed at the store across the highway. When we got home, it was decided that our original plan for the stairwell ... needed a "work around" and another trip to Home Depot would have to happen. (Total drive time, roughly 4 hours for the 2 trips.)
My husband, Tom was not a happy camper by the time we got home, but here is what happened.
The stairwell was secured so that in 2 weeks when my 2.5 year old grandson who is programmed to climb arrives, he will not fall through!
That was HUGE for me!!!!
Next, the counters were secured to the floor so that when I start up the machines, they counters won't walk!
And yes that was just as HUGE for my husband who makes me wear a mask whenever I grind anything.
And the evening we spent on the porch and looking across the way...
Tomorrow, I hit the boxes and shelves! ;D
