Here's a set with Fordite. This is half of the set of the Tiffany Stone. Hopefully I get the earrings done tonight!

Those look great but something just popped into my head and I have to ask; is there a paint smell after they sit for a while after you work them or does the water take care of it?

All of those are gorgeous, but oh! The Tiffany stone is superb.

Donnie, those are wonderful!! The Fordite set is sublime. So beautiful. I just love that pattern and the silver is tops with it! I love the tiffany, too, but your work with the Fordite just takes it for me.

Wow Donnie those Fordite ear rings look great and the color goes great with the wrap. Fordite must feel very comfortable on the ear as ear rings because the material is so light. The Tif is terrifi also Stu

Thanks, ya'll! Itsandbits - There is no smell what so ever. Look at it this way - your car doesn't smell like paint! ;D

I'm glad the process keeps the material under control. Not that I think it would be terribly noxious or anything except if you worked it dry. Nothing is ever in a totally stable state; it's all breaking down or transforming over time into the simplest form possible so because paint is made up of so many different chemicals, it will too. That's why carpets and floormatts and lots of "manufactured items; "new car smell", have such an odour. you only notice it in closed areas or if the material has a fast rate of decomposition or it is very close to you or you are sensitive to it. Many chemicals also have a chemical scent trace added to them so that they will be noticed at very low levels because of their reactivity. All that being said, most people wouldn't have an issue with it, and the polishing process may reseal the pores and surface enough so their isn't an issue; I was just inquiring because I've never worked it and am new to the stone finishing.;<)
