Hi All... Have had a post-op surgical setback. Biopsy came back no cancer but apparently I'm having a reaction to the antiseptic used and have had activities seriosly curtailed on doctor's orders and enforced by Tom. Soooo, while I did work today with assistance from my husband Tom and daughter Katie, I did not accomplish all that I wanted to...which is kinda normal for me because I always bite off more than I can chew... In any event, accomplishments today were that I mailed off some paints to Walt, manofglass, that I really excited about seeing what happens with them from! I also have decided to keep the watercolors and accompanying library of watercolor books up in the attic because...I just know I've got at least one more good landscape in me, that Mom left me. Then there was the 30 year career of music on CD from the orchestra that Dad left me...which I only have half of...to go through. This is the soundtrack to my childhood and could not easily be dismissed...including everything ever written by Rossini because Dad loved him....but I did it. So pictures and the floor is actually visible! The music... The floor and Jim, the wooden trunk is non-negotiable...my great grandfather made it and it was my toybox as a child...still the best thing to sit on in the universe! more floor and more... And the evening pictures... my daughter Katie and Misty...and well Cowboy got out too...and yeah...the horses like the porch too! Cathy

Very cool! Hey, is that your place? I love it!! I'm so ready to get away from the city, but we have a while before I can retire (again) and my wife can retire but the day will come!

Boy, sorry about the fuzzy picts! Wobbly on the feet still... Anyway, I live in a falling apart farmhouse in the middle of nowhere and everywhere! Actually, it's a timewarp...but we love it!

I do not have any problems with the awesome old wood toy box BUT that trash can under the chair could be a real tripping hazard that should be dealt with. Especially if you are still a little dizzy. But wait, aren't all women a little dizzy. It's a joke, it's a joke honest. Ya'll can quit slapping me now. I would never really think that way. Hmmm, you are not going to believe me are you. How do you erase these things.
Anyway, glad to hear that it is not the big C and you are getting better. Allergic reactions can really suck. And always remember, laughter is the best medicine. Jim BTW You can say a lot of bad things about old farm houses but they are still the best way to live.

LOL! I think you're right about the farm houses, Jim. The trash can isn't going anywhere soon, lol! It's half full of rocks!

Cathy, so glad it's not the Big C. You get better now, ya hear?
One of the best things I remember from living in an old "falling apart farmhouse" is that when you swept the wood floor, the dirt just fell through the cracks between the boards and dropped under the house - you didn't have to actually pick it up! Only glad I was out of there before winter! But I did love that my closest neighbors were at least a half mile away. Jean
