So once a year the wife agrees to go camping with Daniel and I lol. She is busy working full time and going to school so this past weekend we as a family decided to go Rockhounding.
Saturday morning we started at Richardson’s Rock Ranch to dig thundereggs my mother and father in-law (DAB) joined us for the morning. For anyone that has never dug at Richardson’s the drive back to the digging area is almost as enjoyable as finding thundereggs. Here are the pics of the ranch.
Rock Formations
Umm those are not your eggs!
Next we camped at Central Oregon KOA in Culver I'm not a fan of KOA but a happy wife = happy life. I was surprised by the campground was nice we had a campsite on the edge out of the way and it was nice. Fire pit water and a happy wife. We kicked around camp Saturday afternoon and were bless with a wonderful sunset!
Sunset
Lucy's Frog Friend she found (he lived)
Sunday we stopped for breakfast at the country nook in Redmond OR for what was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. Then on to a long drive to Glass butte for some Obsidian and well some off road fun lol. We found the silver sheen obsidian pits I wanted to dig and we brought home about 100lb of silver sheen obsidian.
Next we did some exploring in the Maury Mountains Daniel and I have deer tags over in this ara for this year. We got one little agate limb cast but found some nice hunting ground.
Next stop was Paulina Oregon I don’t know why but I love this little town Sitting on the walkway in front of the store and drinking a soda. Lucy our little cowgirl loved the shade and breeze and the wife loved the store, as do I.
